Sophia Li

Sophia Li combines leadership and service to build a network of committed volunteers and a culture of citizenship and volunteerism. As president of the Interact Club, she cultivated a humble and modest spirit of service that will be sustained in the community for years to come. Academically driven, Sophia is particularly strong in science and math, which will prepare her for her future studies in biology. Further, she studied Mandarin Chinese for three hours every Saturday of the school year. According to her counselor, Sophia “has a long history of knowing what it takes to succeed with a great emphasis on working well with others. She is always gracious, polite and an absolute pleasure to work with.” The current editor-in-chief of the Panther Prowler at Newbury Park High School, Sophia plans to attend Harvard University in the fall.
