Clara Chen

Becoming an active member of her community started early for Clara. Today, she continues to balance academics and community service with energy and passion. Her demanding course load includes two foreign languages and 11 units of community college coursework. Outside the classroom, Clara galvanizes support for service and citizenship in the community. She cultivates a spirit of volunteerism among her peers. Her counselor calls her the “gem” of her school – shining as a leader on campus. From Moorpark High School, Clara is destined for success as a biology major at Harvard University in the fall.
