A philosophy of servant leadership was instilled in Grace, and it has and will continue to inform the way she plans to live her life in college and beyond. She says, “college is no longer about me; it’s about the people I have the opportunity to encounter and serve.” Last summer, Grace traveled to Jinja, Uganda and was moved by what she experienced and how serving there made her feel. So, after she graduated high school early, Grace spent this past spring semester back in Uganda as a medical intern through H.E.A.L. Ministries. She was active in Young Life, through which she served as a group leader and speaker. Captain of the soccer team, Beta club representative, and much more, Grace was in the top 2 percent of her large graduating class. From Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Grace will be pre-med at Clemson University in the fall.
