Sofia Rebecca Ramirez

Sofia used her robotics skills and her heart for serving to raise thousands of dollars and donate thousands of cans of food for Austin’s Capital Area Food Bank. Over the last three years, she led teams for the CANstruction program, learning that even at her young age, she can put her gifts to use and have a big impact on her local community. Sofia’s love of engineering fueled her as project manager for First Tech Challenge Robotics, president of Tech Girls, and a mentor for robotics teams. Captain of the soccer team, Sofia also has held leadership roles for Texas 4H, her church youth group, and National Honor Society. She has served as a junior counselor for a girls camp and worked part time throughout high school. Sofia hails from Austin, Texas, and will head to Lehigh University to study chemical engineering.
