Brock was a captain of his school’s award-winning speech and debate team, and a four-year Junior Ranger for the National Parks Service. An Eagle Scout, Brock supported a number of local organizations, including the Elks Club, the Rotary Club, the VFW, Meals on Wheels, and more. However, undeniably, Brock’s passion lies with music. At his young age, his achievements are astounding and his talent evident: He is a member of the National Association for Music Education’s All National Symphony Orchestra, a gold medal soloist for the Minnesota State High School League, a featured recording artist for Minnesota Public Radio, and a member of more orchestras and choirs than we could list. One of 11 children – and our very first sibling to receive this award – Brock is from Thief River Falls, Minn., and plans to attend Johns Hopkins University: Peabody Conservatory of Music to continue his study of music in the fall.
