Stephanie Duno

Stephanie and her family emigrated from Venezuela when she was a young girl. Even then, Stephanie was captivated by animals and developed a sensitivity for their humane treatment. In 2012, Stephanie was asked to serve as an international ambassador for Huellitas de Amor, a Venezuelan-based organization that promotes a culture of respect for animals. She has contributed hundreds of volunteer hours to this organization, which has led her to start her own nonprofit that matches bullying victims with animals. Beyond this passion, Stephanie serves as secretary for her student government association, writes for her school’s newspaper, and plays on the volleyball team. And, we think it’s pretty great that Stephanie attended Ronald W. Reagan High School in her hometown of Doral, Fla. In the fall, she will head to the University of Florida to study biology.
