Smythe Mullikin

As Smythe puts it, he sought after leadership roles early on by observing others. He has served as student body president and secretary/treasurer of the National Honor Society. On the field, Smythe is a starting varsity baseball player and head student athletic trainer. He is president of the drama club and has played a number of lead roles in musicals and plays. Smythe is lead guitarist for his school's band, and also started a school-wide mentoring program. Most notably, he is a youth representative on the Family, Children, and Youth Board for his hometown of Galveston, Texas, where he established the "For Youth by Youth" initiative to celebrate the contributions of local young people. Now, Smythe has his sights set on working for NASA someday. Smythe will major in mechanical engineering at Southern Methodist University in the fall.
