Jasmine Mays

Jasmine and her family have known hardship, yet she continues to rise above and make a positive difference for others. Most significantly, Jasmine is a mentor to a young lady who herself has had a troubled childhood. Jasmine has encouraged her mentee to use her story as a source of inspiration, power, and motivation. She hopes to extend this message of hope through her own nonprofit, which she intends to have a global reach. Active in her community, Jasmine serves as president of both the DREAM of Future Project and the HOPE of Future Project, captain of the Junior Army Leadership Program, and secretary of the Student Government Association. She also is captain of her school¡¯s golf and volleyball teams. With all this, she still manages to run her own childcare service. Jasmine, who is from Atlanta, Ga., plans to major in business and computer science at The Ohio State University in the fall.
