Alexis Elese Mahan

“Every day presents an opportunity to start a positive chain reaction; I choose to take advantage of that opportunity.” At the age of 14, Alexis founded and is the President of Chain Reaction, a philanthropic/service group that puts “kindness into action” by initiating financial and volunteer support for bullied students, homeless and hospitalized youth, lunch money, and families and orphans in Nigeria. Among her many other achievements, Alexis is active with Common Sense Culture Leadership Program as a Level 3 Peer Leader, Mentor, and Networking Director. She creates podcasts to raise awareness, partners with other organizations to provide human trafficking victims with recovery and rehabilitation and volunteers at an organization that provides relief to trafficking survivors. She wants to major in International Business and turn Chain Reaction into an international organization and minor in music performance in order to pursue her other dream to be a recording artist. Alexis is from Pickerington, OH and will attend Mount Vernon Nazarene University this fall.
