As an Eagle Scout, Joey’s Eagle Project involved collecting 2,000 children’s books and $1,000 to start two libraries in Malawi, Africa. His global mindset is undeniable, as he also participated in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. During the summers, Joey works with underprivileged youth in his own community – mentoring them and providing assistance for a tennis program. At school, he was active as a class officer, a member of the cross country and tennis teams, and treasurer of the Future Business Leaders of America. Joey also was his school’s Beta Club president, where he motivated his peers to go beyond the minimum requirements and directly serve the community. From North Augusta, South Carolina, Joey will attend The College of Charleston in the fall.
