As class president, president of the Student Council, and co-captain of the volleyball team, this scholar-athlete was a leader of her peers in the classroom and on the court. While she knew at an early age that she wanted to become a teacher to make the difference in the lives of children, Lindsey’s passions came alive serving as a mentor, church youth group leader, and inner-city mission trip participant. However, what best defines Lindsey was her role as a teen leader for the Nehemiah Youth Center, where she received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for her efforts. Lindsey was a true blessing to the children who attended this after-school program, not to mention all those kids whose lives she will positively affect in the years ahead. From Bellevue, Ohio, Lindsey will attend Indiana Wesleyan University in the fall.
