Ashtyn Widney

In her small town, Ashtyn is well aware that she has the potential to serve as a positive role model for those around her. She is an actress and musician who has committed four years and nearly 900 hours to her local community theater group and band. She serves as a youth group leader and Vacation Bible School teacher for her church, and was a four-year member of 4H. Ashtyn was student council president, a member of the National Honor Society, a member of the academic team, and a Girls State delegate. As her superintendent noted, “Ashtyn embodies Ronald Reagan’s quote, ‘Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, leave the rest to God.’” From Watonga, Oklahoma, Ashtyn will study biochemistry at Oklahoma State University in the fall.
