While Sophia maintained a perfect GPA and excelled in many roles such as Class President, Assistant Concert Master for the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, Choi Kwang Do Martial Arts, and multiple church activities, the common thread was the spirit of service woven through each and every activity. “Family comes first, and our community is family.” These were her father’s words and he taught her at an early age to serve, which is at the forefront of Sophia’s approach to life. She taught her classmates to serve on a regular basis and thereby transformed her class and eventually, her school with the force of her convictions. Outreach programs and organizations were begun to aid the elderly, children, unite different church groups, and address racial equality issues. Sophia will continue to serve in all her future endeavors.
