Lauren Pugh

Lauren has learned about leadership both through her volunteer work and her 35 hours per week spent as a Manager at Panera Bread. “Supervising others, handling customers and training others has taught me to communicate my ideas efficiently and effectively.” Lauren was also selected for an internship at Congressman Steven LaTourette’s district office, during which he noted that “Lauren is a hard-working self-starter. She is very organized and has the ability to grasp complex situations and develop a plan to address the issue.” Lauren has continued to hone her leadership skills as President of her school’s United Way Club and other clubs, as well as her service with the homeless. The respect and kindness she brought prompted one homeless man to tell her, “God bless your beautiful soul.” Her experiences have taught her many useful lessons she will continue to apply in the future.
