“Leadership is an action, not a position.” Dalton’s life is an example of these words. He was the Captain of his Football, Baseball, and Wrestling teams. He was the President of numerous youth boards and councils statewide because he believes that “students need to look beyond themselves to help impact change in the lives of others.” He also organized and conducted the first Nebraska Youth Summit with the goal of empowering youth to take a stand and be more involved in their communities. Dalton works to achieve the same high standards for himself. He was the recipient of the Wendy’s High School Heisman State award for Nebraska, is a three-time District Wrestling Champion and State Medalist, and was on the state championship Baseball team. He took the initiative to set up a user-friendly website where anyone in the community can find school and community event information. Dalton balances these achievements while working 35 hours per week.
