Helen helped charter a Rotary Interact Club at her school to raise student global issue awareness and service. She organized the collection of medical supplies for pediatric clinics in Uganda, Honduras, and Nigeria, and sent them blankets and pillows that she taught club members to make. She is the only young person who has been asked to serve on a County Extension Leadership System program development committee. Helen was President of her school class, President of her local 4-H Club, and President of the Student Council. Her goal is to practice medicine and work with a medical aid organization to provide care and help on a global level. Helen is from Woodbine, GA, and plans to attend Harvard University.
