Alexander Quinn

With the help of a student petition and through his own efforts, Alex worked to convince state legislators to rescind funding cuts to K-12 grades, resulting in a bill being signed that accomplished just that. He founded Junior State of America, a nonpartisan political chapter at his school, and was responsible for Rockford students having access to online classes with Michigan Virtual School. Alex volunteered as a Special Olympics Track, Field and Ski Coach, helped with blood drives and fundraisers with the Youth Initiative, and was an intern with a Michigan State Senator. Ranked #1 in his class, with 20 Honors and 23 AP semesters to his credit, Alex, who is from Belmont, MI, plans to attend Harvard University.
