The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center (APLC)

The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center (APLC) is committed to engaging the future leaders of America in the study of our nation’s democratic processes with the aim of developing proactive informed, educated, and conscientious citizens and leaders.

The Presidential Learning Center endeavors to become a national resource for civics education and support, by developing innovative educational content, making it available to educators and students and aligning the efforts of prominent local and national civics oriented organizations. This institution will help increase awareness of the importance of civics education and encourage individuals from all parts of our society to become active participants in the democratic process.

National Advisory Council

The purpose of the National Advisory Council (NAC) is to support the current education initiatives and strategic plan of the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center through national networking, advocacy of civic education programs, and review of programming with productive input in areas of expertise. The NAC is comprised of many of the pre-eminent scholars, thinkers, and practitioners in the worlds of civic education, communication, education, and technology.
