Docent Guided Museum Tours

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum offers docent-led museum tours designed to engage and inform students about Ronald Reagan's presidency and his legacy. Students can witness an exact replica of the Oval Office, see a 6-ton piece of the Berlin Wall, tour the Reagan Library, Air Force One or President Reagan's memorial.

SCHOOL TOURS CRITERIA

Everyone is welcome! All students in grades Pre-K through 12th will receive free admission (public, private or homeschool) when they book a tour with the Visitor Services Department. The minimum to book a tour is 10 students; the minimum to receive a guided tour is 20 students. All reservations should be made 2-3 weeks in advance. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding that we cannot make any exceptions to these policies.

FOR GRADES 3rd - 12th:

  • We require a 1:10 ratio of chaperones to students. These chaperones will receive free admission. All additional chaperones/adults will pay full admission price and self-guide through museum on their own.
  • All students must stay with a chaperone at all times.
  • There is an additional charge to tour the temporary exhibit.
  • Once we have reached our daily capacity for guided tours, all schools groups will go self-guided through the museum.

FOR GRADES Pre-K through 2nd

  • You are more than welcome to self-guide through the museum on your own. We do not offer guided tours to Pre-K through 2nd
  • We require a 1:5 ratio of chaperones to students. These chaperones will receive free admission. All additional chaperones/adults will pay full admission price.
  • All students must stay with a chaperone at all times.
  • There is an additional charge to tour the temporary exhibit.

Homeschools:

  • We require a 1:10 ratio of chaperones to students. These chaperones will receive free admission. All additional chaperones/adults will pay full admission price.
  • All students must stay with a chaperone at all times.
  • There is an additional charge to tour the temporary exhibit.
  • Due to the wide range of grades in a homeschool group, we offer guided tours to groups made up of middle and high schoolers only.

After-School Programs ie: Boys & Girls Clubs or Scouts, YMCA, Summer Camps or After-School Programs, Summer School Programs

  • These groups are treated as a paying group tour. 
  • They will receive a group discount, if they qualify.
