THE RONALD REAGAN PRESIDENTIAL FOUNDATION & INSTITUTE

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute (RRPFI) is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the legacy of Ronald Reagan and his timeless principles of individual liberty, economic opportunity, global democracy, and national pride.  It sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, the Ronald Reagan Institute, the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center, The Air Force One Pavilion and the award-winning Air Force One Discovery Center.  Located in Simi Valley, California, the Library houses over 55 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers and over 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a take-charge and highly organized professional to assist with the management of daily department operations, projects and programs. The Operations Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Learning, and responsibilities include organizing and executing department events, organization projects on-site and assisting team members with project management by creating a working timeline to help track progress.

  • Strong strategic planning and problem solving skills
  • Methodical analysis and execution of processes and systems to improve departmental and program functionality

  • Adhere to operational guidelines to ensure consistency of operations
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills

 QUALIFICATIONS

Ideally, a successful candidate for this position should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree;
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination to conform with our mandatory vaccination policy;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to convey a professional image;
  • Effective and professional performance under pressure;
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines, multitask and prioritize;
  • A proactive approach and “no task is too big or too small” mentality; and,
  • Ability to work evening, holiday, and weekend hours to support Education programming and Foundation events including, but not limited, to the annual Reagan National Defense Forum at the end of November/first weekend in December.

SALARY, BENEFITS AND JOB LOCATION

This is an hourly, seasonal full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week, including weekend days and occasional evenings for special events.  The position is located at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute in Simi Valley, California.  This position will be compensated on an hourly basis based on experience and will be eligible for overtime.
