The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute (RRPFI) is the sole nonprofit organization created by President Reagan charged with continuing his legacy and advancing his principles – limited government, individual liberty, economic opportunity, freedom and democracy, peace through strength, and national pride.  The Foundation is a non-partisan organization which sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, CA, the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Presidential Learning Center, The Air Force One Pavilion, the award-winning Reagan Leadership Academy, and the Reagan Institute, which carries out the Foundation’s mission in Washington, D.C.  The Reagan Library houses over 55 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers and over 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Social Media Coordinator. This role is integral to our mission of advancing the legacy of Ronald Reagan. The Social Media Coordinator will support our Social Media Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring social media campaigns and activities across various platforms. This position will work appropriately 24-26 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Social Media Marketing Manager with content creation and posting, including helping to develop engaging and high-quality content that resonates with our audience and aligns with our brand values, and scheduling and publishing posts on all social channels (FaceBook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Respond to comments and messages across platforms in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Foster a sense of community among our followers.
  • Monitor social media trends and emerging platforms to help keep our strategies fresh and relevant.
  • Work closely with marketing, communications, and events teams to ensure brand consistency across all social media channels.
  • Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns and paid advertising initiatives to promote events, exhibits, and educational programs.
  • Film reels and shorts using content from our Museum campus.
  • Assist our video production team when needed (behind the camera work, livestreaming, pulling cables, etc.)

Qualifications and Skills

  • A deep respect for historical significance and an understanding of Ronald Reagan’s legacy
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in social media coordination or a related role.
  • Proficiency across all major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms utilizing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and CloudCampaign.
  • Experience with social media advertising and campaign management is a plus.
  • A keen eye for detail and a creative mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Skilled in photography, videography, and livestreaming to enhance digital presence is a plus.

Salary and Benefits

This is a non-exempt part-time hourly position of 24-26 hours per week. We are offering a salary of $20-25 per hour, commensurate with experience. The Foundation also provides a Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit to all regular part-time employees, providing paid time off for vacation, sick or other absences based on hours accrued per pay period and years of service.
