The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute (RRPFI) is the sole nonprofit organization created by President Reagan charged with continuing his legacy and sharing his principles - individual liberty, economic opportunity, global democracy and national pride. The Foundation is a non-partisan organization which sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, CA, the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Presidential Learning Center, The Air Force One Pavilion, the award-winning Discovery Center and the Reagan Institute, which carries out the Foundation’s mission in Washington, D.C.  The Reagan Library houses over 55 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers and over 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Duties and Responsibilities

The Institute seeks a part-time Digital Marketing Associate to support the marketing initiatives in Washington, DC.  This position will report to the Director of Programs and Operations and work closely with the Communications and Data Systems Manager. Additionally, this Associate will maintain the integrity of the RRPFI brand in close coordination with the Chief Marketing Office and the Marketing Team in Simi Valley, CA.

The responsibilities of this position include researching and crafting strategic marketing initiatives to support the programmatic and scholarly work of the Institute, and executing the day-to-day activities that support these plans. The Digital Marketing Associate will be expected to perform the following specific duties related to this position and any duties hereafter assigned:

  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive strategic marketing plans supporting the three policy Centers housed in the Washington, DC Reagan Institute.
  • Support the creation of digital content creation for the Reagan Institute including email campaigns, social media, etc. consistent with the RRPFI brand.
  • Support digital content creation for RRI major events such as RNDF and RISE as directed.
  • Produce analysis of marketing efforts against desired goals including event attendance, increased social media presence, etc.
  • Staff miscellaneous special events as directed, including some evening and weekend obligations.
  • Assist with special projects as directed within the auspices of the work of the Foundation & Institute.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest and experience in the field of digital marketing.
  • Successful experience working in an office environment a must.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills necessary; copy-editing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in clerical functions, including mail-merge functions, voice mail, email, internet, filing, and mailing.
  • Detail oriented, good problem-solving skills, with ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with database management (Salesforce knowledge preferred).
  • Experience and ability to work independently and collegially in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Uncompromising personal integrity.
  • High School diploma and minimum of 1-2 years college required.

Salary, Job Status and Benefits

  • This is a non-exempt regular part-time position, located at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute in Washington, D.C.
  • This position will be compensated on an hourly basis commensurate with experience.
  • This position offers Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits based on hours accrued per pay period and years of service, as well as the opportunity to participate in a retirement program.
