Michael is a Partner with Ridgeway Partners overseeing the Asset and Wealth practice. He served as Chairman of Global Asset and Wealth Management at Korn Ferry and worked in the CEO and Board Services Practice.
Michael has more than 25 years of experience recruiting CEOs, CIOS and senior executives in a variety of financial services companies including traditional and alternative investments, hedge funds, fund of funds, family offices, banks and insurance companies. Michael was a Partner and an architect of the Investment Management Practice at the Highland Search Group, LLC, an executive recruiting firm, which he and his partners sold to TMP/Monster Worldwide. Previously, Mr. Castine spent 10 years at Spencer Stuart where he built the Investment Management Practice and co-headed the Global Financial Services Practice, including investment management, investment banking, insurance, real estate, private banking and private equity.
Prior Michael served as the President of a registered investment advisor based in Greenwich, Connecticut where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of two mutual funds and a Bermuda-based alternative investment fund.
Michael served on the staff of the National Security Council as Director of International Communication and as Deputy Director of the Office of Private Sector Initiatives in the White House under President Ronald Reagan. He also worked in the U.S. House of Representatives as an aide to Congressman Jack Kemp. Mr. Castine serves on the Advisory Boards of several nonprofit organizations including the Miller Center at the University of Virginia.
Michael has a graduate degree from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Fredonia College.
