TIPS FOR VISITING

The Library is over 200,000 sq ft of exhibits, including Air Force One.   Please allow 2 ½ to 3 hours to enjoy all the galleries.  There is no fee for parking and there are several parking spaces for buses.  We also have parking for special needs persons in our Visitor Parking lot.  If you bring an RV, please park it on Presidential Drive; the Visitor Parking lot is just too narrow to navigate.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is the final resting place for our 40th president.  His memorial gravesite overlooks the Pacific Ocean to the west.

Your museum admission grants you access to all of our galleries and exhibits, including the recently renovated Reagan Museum, the Oval Office replica, our rotating temporary exhibits, the Air Force One Pavilion, and all of our outdoor grounds.   So bring comfortable walking shoes, as the entire loop through the museum is approximately ½ mile long.  The museum is designed for self touring, with exhibit labels located throughout.  Tour guides are available upon request for groups of 15 or more people.  Reservations for tour guides must be made in advance and there is a small additional fee involved for the guided tour.

Since Air Force One is an artifact, it is the only place inside the Museum that is not handicapped accessible.  All other locations contain ramps or elevators to move you smoothly through the museum.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is located on 100 acres in Simi Valley in the county of Ventura, perched on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the one side; and wonderful canyon views to the East side.

The Library is situated halfway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.

Please take lots of pictures!  Just make sure your flash is turned off inside the museum.  In addition, no photography is allowed inside the airplane (Air Force One).  There is a red carpeted area to alert you to put away your camera until you exit the airplane.  Also, sometimes our special temporary exhibits do not allow photography, so be sure to check for signage on photography availability; or ask one of our museum docents.

New Exhibits

While visiting the galleries we ask that your cell phone be muted (silent mode).
