How do I get to the Reagan Library?
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is located halfway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, California. Please click here for detailed directions.
Is there a fee for parking?
There is no fee for parking at the Library.

Does the admission fee include Air Force One and all temporary exhibits?
Your one admission fee includes all exhibits and galleries at the Library.
After I order my tickets online, when will I get my tickets?
As soon as you submit your order, you will be presented with a “summary screen” which includes the ability to print your bar-coded ticket voucher. This voucher will reflect all items you have ordered, from admission tickets to pre-purchased meals, GuideCams, Presidential Library Passports and/or Special Exhibit catalogs. In addition, online patrons will receive an email with a link to the stored web-page where you can print your voucher. Simply open the attachment, print the voucher and present it at the Admissions Desk on the date/time you requested. If you fail to receive your follow-up email with attached voucher in a timely manner, please call 805-577-4008 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. PDT and 4:00 p.m. PDT, Monday through Friday.
What if I am unable to print my voucher at home or at my hotel?
Not to worry. Just provide your telephone number to the Admissions Specialist at the Admissions Desk and your reservation will be confirmed and your tickets issued.
What if I am unable to pre-purchase my tickets online?
A limited number of timed-tickets for same-day purchase will be available each day in the Library Admissions Lobby. Because they are timed-tickets, Museum entry times will be subject to availability. It is anticipated that tickets will be very popular and there is a possibility that sessions will sell out.
I want to pre-purchase my tickets, but cannot do so online. What’s the alternative?
You may purchase tickets for a future date and time by calling the Library’s Visitor Services Department, 805-577-4008, Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Tickets will not be mailed, but will be available at the admissions desk, listed under your phone number.
How do I make reservations for my group to tour the Library?
Tour guides (docents) are available to tour groups of 20 or more people. All groups must make a reservation, whether or not they elect to have a tour guide. Groups must use ONE form of payment for the entire group. There are no reduced admission prices for groups. Group Reservations must be made in advance, please call 805-577-4066 (800-410-8354 Ext 74066) for information and/or assistance with your reservation.
I want to bring my school to the Library. How do I do that?
The Reagan Library welcomes schools to tour the Museum. For grades K-12 there is no charge for students to tour the Reagan Galleries and the Air Force One Pavilion. There is a $6.00 per student charge if the school group wishes to visit the SPY: The Secret World of Espionage. We allow (and encourage) one free chaperone for every 10 students; the chaperone ratio does include teachers. Additional adult chaperones are welcomed, but must pay the admission fee. Adult students do not qualify for free admission. School Tours must be booked in advance. You may call the Visitor Services Department at 805-577-4066 or 800-410-8354.
How long does it take to tour the Library?
The Library contains 125,000 square feet of exhibits, including Air Force One and our temporary galleries. Please allow 3-4 hours to enjoy all the galleries. The Library is designed to self-guide. For an additional $7.00, rent our GuideCam – an audio/video tour of the Reagan Library. Over 50 audio stations, and the voices of President and Mrs. Reagan, enhance your Library visit. In addition, the GuideCam can be used as both a camera and a video camera, allowing you to capture all of your memories during your tour. Are the exhibitions accessible for disabled patrons?
Yes. The entire Museum and grounds (with the exception of the Air Force One interior) are wheelchair accessible. Visitor drop-off for patrons with disabilities is located at the entrance to the Library. Note: A staircase in the Special Exhibit Galleries will require the use of an alternate route through the exhibit for patrons utilizing wheelchairs or strollers.
Are wheelchairs permitted inside the galleries?
Yes. The Library has wheelchairs that visitors may check out free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. The wheelchairs are available in the Admissions Lobby. Note: A staircase in the Special Exhibit Galleries will require the use of an alternate route through the exhibit for patrons utilizing wheelchairs or strollers.
Are strollers allowed in the galleries?
Single strollers are allowed in all galleries. Due to the nature of the design of the Reagan Museum, double strollers are discouraged. Note: A staircase in the Special Exhibit Galleries will require the use of an alternate route through the exhibit for patrons utilizing wheelchairs or strollers.
Is food available at the Library?
Yes. Both the Reagan’s Country Café and the Ronald Reagan Pub offer food and beverage for our patrons.
May I use my mobile telephone while inside the galleries?
We ask that patrons “silence” their mobile telephones. Use of your mobile telephone for personal photography (camera & video) is permitted with no flash as artifacts on display are sensitive to light. No photography is allowed inside Air Force One.

Are there restrooms inside the galleries?
Restrooms are located in the Admission Lobby, near the Oval Office exhibit, within the Air Force One Pavilion and near Reagan’s Country Café. There are no restrooms in the Special Exhibit Galleries.
Is there a Gift Shop located at the Library?
Yes. The Reagan Library Museum Store is located at the exit of both the Reagan Galleries and the Special Exhibit Galleries. Additionally, Patrons may shop online at www.reaganfoundation.org/store. Visitors to the Library who do not purchase exhibit tickets may visit the Museum Store.
Where can I park my RV or Trailer?
All RVs and Trailers must be parked on Presidential Drive as the Visitor Parking lot is too narrow to navigate.
Is there bus parking?
There is limited bus parking in a special parking area. However, additional bus parking is available on Presidential Drive, which is a short walk (approximately two blocks) to the Library.
Is there a Bag and Coat Check?
No. For security reasons, bag and coat check is not available. Because the Library is a federal facility, all handbags, back packs, large purses, etc. are subject to search. Patrons are encouraged to leave their belongings locked in the trunk of their vehicle.
May I bring my pet to the Reagan Library?
No. Only working or service animals are allowed on the grounds or in any of the facilities.
Is this like a regular Library? Where I can check out books?
The Reagan Library is a research facility, housing original papers, photographs and videotapes created by the Reagan Administration. Material can only be viewed in our Research Room, and no items are available for loan. The Archives Staff processes material and makes it available for researchers. Can I have a party at the Library?
The Reagan Library has a number of areas which can be rented for corporate events. We also have an onsite catering company on site to help host a spectacular event. Weddings, wedding receptions, birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, etc. and other non-corporate oriented events cannot be held on the Library grounds. Was the Library part of President Reagan’s ranch?
No, Rancho del Cielo, President and Mrs. Reagan’s ranch, was located north of Santa Barbara, CA and was never part of the Reagan Library. Rancho del Cielo was sold by President and Mrs. Reagan in 1998. The Reagan Library site is a 300 acre parcel, with the buildings and landscaped areas covering approximately 29 acres.
How do I volunteer at the Library?
The Library has a vibrant volunteer organization. With hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world coming to see the Museum, volunteers are needed to ensure a truly memorable experience for our guests. Volunteers must be United States citizens over the age of 16 and be able to donate a minimum of 150 hours per year assisting visitors.
