RETAIL SALES SUPERVISOR

RONALD REAGAN PRESIDENTIAL FOUNDATION:
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, including the Air Force One Pavilion, the Center for Public Affairs and the Presidential Learning Center. Located in Simi Valley, California the Library houses over 55 million pages of government documents and personal papers and the Museum is home to more than 100,000 artifacts chronicling the life and legacy of America's 40th President. We operate 2 retail stores within the Museum, as well as an E-Commerce and Catalog business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The person hired for this position must be a self starter, have strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to multitask, and work in a team environment. Must be reliable, punctual and well organized. Must have excellent customer service skills, be courteous and possess a positive attitude. Previous retail experience, including supervisory experience is required. This is a full-time, salaried and benefited position. The candidate must have the ability to work a full-time schedule. Working a minimum of 3 out of 4 weekends per month is required.

 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  1. Weekend Supervisor for two on-site retail stores:
    1. Provide the highest level of guest service to preserve and perpetuate the image and values of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum.
    2. Responsible for opening and closing the store locations on time on the weekends. Coordinate break schedules to ensure appropriate coverage is maintained at all times in both stores.
    3. Provide direction and answer questions regarding store operations, merchandise location and pricing. Resolve customer complaints and forward unresolved complaints to the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
    4. Proficient in POS system functions, to ensure efficient and accurate cash register operations. Perform all cash register preparation, spot checks, and verify end-of-shift cash reconciliations and deposits. Report any discrepancies to the Retail Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
    5. Assist in effectively appraising and identifying training needs for our Sales Associates. Participate in Associate training, which will enhance the team’s ability to exceed our customer service and product knowledge standards
    6. Ensure the store stock levels are consistently replenished and the merchandise is presented to be visually appealing to our guests. Maintain retail area and merchandise in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
    7. Communicate any procedural changes or updates to the weekend staff to ensure consistent direction for the retail team.
    8. Lead by example. Communicate any and all personnel related issues to the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
  2. Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations of our on-site stores, mail-order, and E Commerce businesses.
  3. Physical demands to include the ability to stand for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling and lifting 5 to 30 pounds.
  4. Other Duties/Functions as Assigned or Requested.
