KRLA’s 870AM The Answer and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation are pleased to announce a program on May 2, 2014 which features both a live radio broadcast with Hugh Hewitt, as well as a lecture and book signing with Rick Santorum.  The entire day is free to attend, however reservations are required.  Books must be purchased in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Museum Store to receive signature.  Reagan’s Country Café will be open until 7:00 p.m. to purchase food.

From 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Hugh Hewitt will broadcast his radio program live from the Reagan Library.  Since launching his radio show, Hugh Hewitt reaches an audience of more than 2 million listeners each week.  Hugh Hewitt is also a Professor, teaching Constitutional Law at Chapman University Law School.

At 7:00 p.m., 2012 Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum will take the stage to discuss his latest book, “Blue Collar Conservatives: Recommitting to an America that Works” (publish date: April 28, 2014).  The program will be conversational-style between Mr. Santorum and Mr. Hewitt, and will also take audience questions.  Rick Santorum, a native of Pennsylvania, was a candidate for the Republican nomination for president of the United States in 2012. In June 2012 he launched Patriot Voices, a grassroots and online community of Americans committed to promoting faith, family, freedom, and opportunity. Prior to running for president, Santorum served in the House of Representatives from 1991 to 1995, and in the Senate from 1995 to 2007.

Just prior to the program, Mr. Santorum will sign copies of “Blue Collar Conservatives” and Mr. Hewitt will sign copies of his book “The Happiest Life: Seven Gifts, Seven Givers, and the Secret to Genuine Success.”

In “Blue Collar Conservatives: Recommitting to an America that Works”, Rick Santorum provides a game plan for Republicans to bounce back, regain popularity, and return to the party’s original values: the solution rests on rediscovering blue collar conservatives.

No one was more crucial to the nation’s founding than James Madison. He was not only the father of the Constitution and author of the Bill of Rights, he was essential to setting the young Republic in motion. In her new biography of Madison, Lynne Cheney unearths the sources of his genius. She explores his rivalry with Alexander Hamilton, whose expansive vision of government Madison opposed. She traces his friendship with Thomas Jefferson and his relationship with his beloved wife Dolley Payne Todd Madison, the most glamorous woman of the day. In this compelling book, she makes clear Madison’s central place among our nation’s founders.

Lynne Cheney, wife of Vice President Dick Cheney, is the author or coauthor of twelve books, including six bestsellers, about American history for children.
