- Student Speaker Series
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation hosts nationally and internationally renowned speakers throughout the year. Speakers such as George W. Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Chris Matthews, Gary Sinise, Ted Kennedy, Ben Stein, Laura Bush, and Anderson Cooper are just some of the many speakers who’ve spoken here in years past. The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center aims to bring high level speakers discussing civic engagement to a student population. In previous years, our Speaker Series have included a distinguished panel of military veterans speaking to an audience of 300 students, as well as topics ranging from social media, to politics, to character.
- Educator Programming
The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center values the work of educators across the country. As a way to thank them for their service to our nation’s children, we host an Educator Appreciation Night where we distribute free curriculum resources, give free tours of the museum, and share information about both our programming and the current state of civics education.
- Professional Development
In an effort to merge high quality content with effective classroom tools, the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center offers free professional development sessions for educators from Elementary through High School. We have partnered with organizations like the Library of Congress, the Cal State Northridge Writing Project, the Cal State University Long Beach History Project, as well as other regional and national organizations to offer resources, curriculum, and pedagogy strategies to educators across the country.
